When I think of Ron DeSantis, I think of a racist, white nationalist Governor of Florida whose Conservative agenda appeals to an ignorant, racist electorate.
So, lets unpack Ron De Santis record as Governor of Florida. As Governor, he signed thee most vile anti-LGBTQ law in the nation called the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. This bill prevents teachers from even saying the word “gay” in schools.
His ignorant record doesn’t stop there. During the COVID pandemic, he openly asked the citizens of the state to not get vaccinated from a lethal virus that killed more than 1.3 Million Americans to date. His hypocrisy was jaw-dropping on this issue. He opposed Floridians wearing masks to protect from COVID, despite the fact that he wore a mask during COVID press conferences. He and his family also got vaccinated from the virus. He touted Florida having a low infection rate. That was a lie. Thanks to DeSantis stupid policy, Florida during the height of the COVID pandemic had the highest COVID infection rate (14%) in the nation. DeSantis biggest campaign donor owns large shares of stock in the pharmaceutical company that produces the COVID emergency room drug Regeneron. DeSantis also owns stock in the company which explains his ignorant COVID policy. He put his greed over the health & well-being of his state.
He also signed into law an anti-immigrant bill that has driven 75% of migrant workers out of the state severly damaging the agriculture industry in Florida. His immigration policy has angered farmers across the state. DeSantis has publicly attacked Disney who is the largest corporate taxpayer in the state. Why? Because, Disney publicly opposed DeSantis “Don’t Say Gay” law.
Lastly, DeSantis vile attack on education is beyond reasoning. He has banned African-American studies from being taught at any level in his state. He has also attacked Native American & Latino history as well. He has publicly stated that slaves “benefited” from slavery.
Bottom line. Ron DeSantis is a clear and present danger to American Democracy & Diversity in this country. He is an ignorant, vile, racist, corrupt political opportunist who has no moral character. This man has to be stopped at all cost from spreading his disgusting agenda.
